A Birthday Cake!

King's Cake

A Galette de Rois or King's Cake made by Ben for my birthday.  It is an almond cake and tasted like marzipan surrounded in pastry.   The cake has a prize inside and the one who discovers the toy is made the king of the day and wears the crown!

Infinity Scarf

I made an infinity scarf, it took a lot more yarn then I thought but it is very think and warm.
It knit it with moss stitch put a twist in it and seamed it together with kitchener stitch.
I learned the kitchener stitch when I was making socks but, it was a lot more difficult on a much longer piece.
It took a long time to attach the ends.

I am happy with how it turned out and it should keep me warm the rest of the winter.
Also, I clearly like grey.

I like it!

This is CUPPOW - our solution for easier drinking from a canning jar. The canning jar already makes an awesome platform for a travel mug: it’s easy to clean, made of heat-resistant glass, cheap, durable, and when sealed it doesn’t leak. The only problem is that with their large openings, canning jars are not great for spill-free sipping while on the move. So we adapted it - made a new lid that lets us drink like a boss from virtually any wide-mouth canning jar.

Awesome!  I like this idea a lot.
