Last Night
Last night we attended the opening of the Sophie Blackall exhibit at the Brooklyn Public Library. She had lots of original drawings, doodles and inspirations from many of the children's books she has illustrated. It is great to see pieces of her process and the illustrations she does are so great.
I took a children's book illustration class with Sophie at SVA and it was great to see her and hear her give a talk.
It has been a busy week.

Last Night
Last night we went to the rose night at the Botanical Garden. The rose garden was filled with blooming flowers. There was a band and we sat in the grass and ate our picnic. I love being a member of the botanical garden and being able to spend summer nights there.

Last Night
Shakespeare in the Park is one of my favorite summer New York things. We won tickets on the virtual line and got to go last night. Ben brought a picnic to eat before the show. I always enjoy Shakespeare comedies and As You Like It is great; including the usual cross dressing, mistaken identities and general confusion. The music was great as well. I feel like a lot of the Shakespeare plays we have seen lately have been doing the music really well and I like it.
